The PokerStars Radio - WCOOP show is a fully interactive live broadcast, which will air six days a week from September 7-27 in four different languages (English, Spanish, German and Russian), and feature guest appearances from the biggest names in poker, interviews with WCOOP winners, live phone-in discussions, daily competitions, Twitter posts and exclusive online tournaments for listeners, with $50,000 in prizes up for grabs across three weeks.
Inside WCOOP TV
In addition, there will also be weekly Inside WCOOP TV shows (English-only broadcast), which will air on three consecutive Tuesdays from September 13. Hosted by poker experts Nick Wealthall and Joe Stapleton, viewers can expect a mix of news and action from the biggest events in the WCOOP schedule. The radio and web shows aim to raise the bar of tournament coverage and provide an innovative mix of information and entertainment to accompany the incredible action at the tables.
Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu was full of praise for the innovative idea. He said: “This radio show is a great opportunity for poker fans, and PokerStars players, to get inside the minds of the pros by calling in and asking questions. Also, because the show is hosted by Joe Stapleton and Nick Wealthall, it won't be just another boring strategy show – listeners can expect to be entertained! I'm looking forward to being a guest on the show, so make sure you call in.”
